Here, skiing is truly world class. It is the home base for the US Ski Team and was the site for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. Bryce Canyon National Park
Bryce Canyon National Park is approximately four hours from Salt Lake City. There are plenty of tourist attractions there to keep you occupied for days. You can take a guided horseback ride, if you want to get closer to nature (and are too lazy to walk), or you can hike on one of the many trails or attend a rodeo.
Despite the array of amazing tourist attractions to choose from, the highlight of the trip will most certainly be the drive through Red Canyon and Escalante which will captive you with its beauty. It might even keep the kids quiet for a while.
